New to our space?
Here’s what you can expect…
The New Patient Experience
Whether you are a mom looking for latch support for their 2 week old newborn, a parent noticing that their pre-teen’s posture is looking more and more slouched, or maybe you have simply been wondering how chiropractic might be able to help your child’s growing body, you are in the right place. For your child’s first visit, expect to feel welcomed and heard, and if your kiddo has words of their own to share, Dr. Anna will encourage a safe space for them to share their story, too! Part of our exam processes uses CLA Insight Technology to measure stress on your child’s nervous system. These gentle tests gather valuable information that provide a whole-body review of your child’s overall health. If this appointment is for you — the big kid at heart — we may send you for x-rays to get a deeper look at your spinal health.
The Report of Findings
Your family’s second visit is called the “Report of Findings”. This is a time where Dr. Anna will review the scans and other tests that were taken on your child’s first appointment. You’ll learn more about your child’s nervous system and how amazing their body is! Based on these findings and the goals that you shared with her, she will also present a personalised care plan aimed at supporting a path to achieving your family’s care objectives. For body’s over 15 years old, this visit is where the first adjustment will most likely occur.
A Typical Visit in Your Family’s Care
Follow-up visits in our office aim to efficiently fit in to your family’s busy life! Squeeze in visits after school and before soccer practice, or between naps in the morning. We know coming to appointments can often feel challenging with a new baby or multiple kiddos. Know that we are here to help and your whole family is welcome—our office space has a great play area, toys, and colouring, and our team love a baby cuddle when you are laying down for your own adjustment.
The Re-Assessment
After a pre-determined collection of care, we perform a re-assessment to ensure that we are on the right track towards your family’s goals. This visit includes the nerve scans and other functional tests we performed in office at your first visit. These check-ins are an important part of your care to measure your progress and create specific shifts in care as the body changes and heals.
